PT3 - Puma Table Tennis Tournament

PT3 (Puma Table Tennis Tournament) is back at it again after a successful first campaign in 2006. The basis of this tournament is to bring together members of the community to participate in a friendly tournament of table tennis a.k.a. ping-pong. This year the tournament will be held in conjunction with French 77; Puma’s new upcoming lifestyle lined inspired by 70’s playboy tennis player Guillermo Villas. PT3 will also feature exclusively designed paddle cases and ball cases created by long time ping pong fanatic Johan Liden from the New York-based aruliden design agency.

Just another day in the neighborhood


I had lunch the other day with my hoomie Adrian Lopez and his wife.. If you don't know Adrian-- he helped me produced La Luz, and he also produced the ABC skate video.. Which was once a skate shop on Avenue A --- he was the original cat who help kick off the TF also know as Tompkins square park.. which has become a local meeting spot for skaters in NYC.. Es footwear also host their game of skate in this park as well.. There you have, your little history for the day.. We love Autumn but if any one deserve some credit it's him>> @ lest to a curtain extend..

Today was one of the first really nice days in NYC since I've been here, and I know these cats are looking @ some girls ass.. It's just what happens here in the city ---Sorry ladies.

Downtowns newest skate park..

This park in located way down on first Ave which is also know as Pike st, only when your down that far. It's right under the Manhattan bridge down by the east river.. I grew up two bloc's from this park - I so wish this was their when i was doing my thing.. O well I guess me and the rest of the city paved the the way for our younger generation.. Back in the day this park was just empty , with broken bottles bums etc.. just nothing and now take a look @ it..

My boy, Buddy Nichols stopped by the show room the other day.. What's so funny is that, I ran into him before I left LA -- and here I am running into him again.. Buddy is currently working on a New York skate film.. He is also building out his office /studio / art gallery right on Fairfax just a few doors up from the diamonds store..

NYC TRIP

So I landed in NYC on a raining day. That's one thing I don't miss about NYC is the crazy weather.. Or am I just used to the sunny days in los angles?





So I took the train into the city, and stop off on my very own bloc to transfer trains. Hehe

Here is a look out my project window


Here are my stomping grounds.. LaGuardia housing projects A.K.A LES (lower east side) A.K.A "The Hill", as they would say in my hood>>
Just a little fact.. On my bloc alone there are 4 buildings 16 stories high with 124 units in each building coming to a total of 496 derels all on one bloc you gotta love it. All in all it's what I call HOME!


Here is my high school and the list of derels that ran threw this school is crazy.. Off the back Harold Hunter(R.I.P), Rickey Powell, and every big time weed dealer I know went here_ O yea I'm one of those derels!.. LOL it's the truth..> I'm sure their are many more.. For now this is enough. Located on Essex and grand St.

Upper Playground x Ningyoushi x Andy Jenkings Vinyl Figure




Upper playground is pleased to present Lettus Bee a new vinyl figure produced by toy manufacturer Ningyoushi. The vinyl figure is designed by multitalented artist Andy Jenkings and will be released this March. Lettus Bee replicates the hero of the Wrench Pilot comic series, which ran in Transworld Skatebording Magazine from 1989-1991. The figure is shown in a face plant with his skateboard dangling mid-air above his feet.The Lettus Bee retails for about 100$

For those of you that are not familiar with Andy Jenkings he is a writer, publisher, graphic artist and art director based in California. He started out his career in 1984 as an editor for popular skateboarding publications, later founded Dirt magazine with Spike Jonze. He later opted out to work full-time as the art director for Girl Skateboards . Currently, he is running his own publishing company BendPress

Ningyoushi is an online toy store with brick and mortar under the name Double Punch which features the latest collectibles in designer and Japanese toys.

A benefiting Kobe’s VIVO Foundation and the LA Lakers Youth Foundation at THE POINT
Beginning at midnight the evening of Friday, April 6th, the Zoom Kobe II will be on sale at THE POINT. 24 of the pairs will be autographed by Kobe. Chances are random, but those 24 lucky purchasers will have the opportunity to be on court with Kobe as well as a meet and greet with #24 on the afternoon of April 7th.

Nike Basketball tournament

Last night I decide to hit Nike's basketball tournament they've been having over the last few weeks.. The teams are - team La Brea, team Fairfax, Blends, Greyone, Pasadena.. There are a few more but I can't remember them all. Anyway this all takes place @ Nike newest shop/ID store in LA.. Who can complain the employees @ the shop have their very own private basketball court in the back.Actually maybe team Fairfax cause they haven't won a game yet.. Come on guys lets @ lest get one win>> Fuck it I'm playing next week. Sal you better put me on the list for next weeks game!
